1998 - 2011	Successful acquisitions of project funding, in excess of US$1.5 Million. Role as PI, co-I, principal writer, or co-writer.

2009 - present	Contributing Principal Investigator (2RA+), GOSAT science team, . Formulate project goals, designs, and event schedules for global and point-source volcanic CO2 emission feasibility and detection; liaise with partner projects and satellite operators, present at PI meetings and conferences, liaise with NASAs OCO-2 and ACOS teams.
2007 - 2010	Chair, WOVOdat* technical advisory committee. Manage pilot project; stakeholder liaison, design & design review, lead pilot project team members in Italy & Japan, progress monitoring, and product hand-over to phase III implementation team; host & chair workshop, write & maintain reports/SOPs/documentation, lead standards formulation & QA meetings, maintain task/event schedules and contingencies, response to nonlinear events, invite and release expert opinions and committee members, liaison with program leadership and reporting to steering committee.
2008	CSU delegate to NADP** annual meeting Initiate laboratory intercomparison with NADP** central analytical facility.
2007 - 2009	Lead editor (planning), WOVOdat* database review panel Group editor for Gas Geochemistry and for Thermal Data. Interim assignment, and subsequently elected for 2-year term.
2006 - 2007	Member of interim leadership council (of four), WOVOdat*. Coordinating steering committee members, board meetings, membership, strategic planning, reporting, public relations; manage pilot project stakeholders, design & design review, progress monitoring, implementation, and product hand-over to phase III implementation team.
2006 - present	WOVOdat* steering committee founding member. Member of informal steering committee since 2002. Co-organizing steering committee meetings (co-convening 2), reporting, soliciting and supervising volunteers, contributing expertise, liaising with WOVO* and WOVOdat* leadership.
2004 - 2010	CCVG*** working group leader for hazardous materials shipping. Background research, solicitation of expert reviews, publication of official recommendations for hazardous materials transport for volcanological gas samples.
2002 - 2004	HazNETH**** constitutional assembly and advisory member. Presentations, expert opinion, proposals writing.
